Momma is right….A RS intervention wouldn’t help; his music has been such a large part of the soundtrack of my life ever since I was very young, my RS CD collection would be one the necessities I would have to have on a deserted island.

Today also marks the start of a 90 day........ jurney for the lack of a better word.

On the 90th day I will turn 40 and my life will change.......I will either be uplifted or shredded, (Yeah I know it sounds kind of like a rehab thing, but it's not). Either way my life WILL change......I am hopeing (with every part of my being) for the best but, preparing for the worst. 

And, BTW It has NOTHING to do with RS either.

This is how my Saturday night went......BOREING, BOREING, and more BOREING….

The day went relatively well, saw a good deal in the paper for a cell phone….I haven’t had one in a long time and never really missed it either but, with Tessa’s job taking her so far from home and the fact she will be working late nights (at least for the next month and a half or how ever long my nerves hold out.) I felt it necessary to get one.

Anyway….

I took the three boys (the brothers and their cousin) to the shop with me and ended up with an even better deal and phone then was in the paper….And YES I read the fine tiny little print and asked questions. All is good.

Then because the boys were so good while I spent an hour picking out a phone and plan. I took them for ice cream. I did have to kick butt a couple of times because of attitude after that….But that’s normal, I know what I’m in for when I choose to give them sugar, I still don’t let them get away with it though.

We got home and I find out the older boy didn’t finish delivering his papers yesterday. His reason? “I was too hot and didn’t feel like it.”

OK fine. At least he was honest THIS time, (he lied about being done yesterday.)

So I kicked him out the door to finish his rout with my brand spanking new phone and threats of grave bodily harm if he lost or damaged it.

Lying is a really big problem for this boy, and has been for some time now. I’ve done everything I can think of to break him of this habit, but because his Mother doesn’t follow up at home nothing works….It’s VERY frustrating.

I also had all three boys stay the night….Thankfully they all went to bed easily and relatively early.

One of the three boys was picked up very early this morning, but I still have the brothers until dinner time......And before you ask.....NO I don't get paid enough.....

And on with the boringness that is my life…

Today I only have to look after one of the 3 boys and that is basically just to give the injured step-father a break  from the boy fighting with his sister, I would take the girl too but the step-father needs her to be his legs….So it’s just me and the boy today. Oh well he can be MY legs today and run the garbage out tot the dumpster as I clean out my fridge.

Then I have to go shopping for the Doctor approved diet Tessa starts tomorrow…It is designed to kick up her metabolism and is very high in iron, because even with taking the pills her iron levels are still very low. (Her body just doesn’t absorb iron at all.)

At the start of this diet (if she follows it to the T.) there will be rapid weight loss, between 10 to 15 lbs….This concerned me at first because that’s a lot to lose in a week….But at 16 almost 17 she is pretty much full grown and with the Doc and I both watching out for her this could be a good thing, plus most of that will be water weight. Tessa is very excited about the weight loss, she doesn’t want to be a stick but she is tired of being as big as she is and luckily she is beginning to understand the number on the scale doesn’t matter as much as being HEALTHY Does.

Friday night Rick stayed the night.... It was odd for Tessa, because on the rare occasion we spend the whole night together it’s at his place.

But Friday night he calls me up all excited that he shaved his head....My reaction? “It’s about frikkin time! Now all we have to do is get you a couple of tattoos and piercings...” For the sake of politeness I won’t write what his answer to that was....LOL!

The reason I said it was “about time” is because for years he has had an extremely receding hairline and I always thought he should just shave it and be done with it, well now he has and it looks GOOD! (Just like I always knew it would.)

Anyway....

I then told him that I cut my hair short again and for some reason I couldn’t convince him I had NOT shaved my head again....He went off on a tangent about how much he hated it when my hair was all gone, and there was absolutely no reason I had to have it shaved again and so on, I tell ya at one point I was tempted to hang up and go back to the hairdresser’s and have her shave it clean this time.... But I didn’t because I remembered I INSIST his face be clean shaven at all times, even though he likes to have a beard and mustache in the winter and he does it because I HATE facial hair, really can’t stand it!

So has we are bickering, Tessa grabs the phone from me (I guess she got tired of listening to it LOL!) and tells him, “It’s not shaved, just short and it looks good.”

I guess he didn’t believe her because the next thing I know is he’s walking through my door, (he had taken a cab here because he had gone out for drinks with the guys after work, and even if he's had only one drink he won't drive.) saying “Okay it doesn’t look bad, but could you let it grow out now? I don’t care how grey it is, that doesn’t bother me, I just really like it long....PLEASE?"

It really was quite cute....LOL!

After that we spent a very nice night together, it was getting on 1 in the morning and I asked him if he had to work in the morning, he said yes but he wasn't going home, he would just call a cab in the morning....Oh, okay....I don't mind......But GEEZ! He must have really wanted to be sure I hadn't shaved my head because a cab ride from his house to mine is $45 ONE WAY!

I had every intention of getting him out of the house before the boys got here to be looked after......Didn't work out that way, we overslept and didn't hear the door.

Good thing Tessa did though and let them in, gave them breakfast and kept them busy while Rick and I slept. 

Tessa had kept the boy so busy and quiet that we slept until almost noon! Needless to say, he didn't make it into work....Good thing working Saturdays is optional for him.

After Rick left I packed up the boys and headed to the water park we stayed there until almost dark, the boys were having so much fun. I'm definitely going to take them there again. It's cheap, easy and enjoyable for everyone.
